A Trailer That Stops Pretending to Be a Tent

Most travel trailers ask you to compromise: cramped bunks, foldout tables, and a layout that feels temporary, no matter how long you stay. AC Future decided that compromise didn't need to exist anymore. The AI-THt is America's first AI-Transformer Home Trailer, built to be easily attached to a truck for nationwide transportation while still functioning as a true residential environment once parked. With all the features included in its sibling model, the AI-THu, this version simply adds the ability to travel anywhere a truck can pull it.

So, what actually makes it transform? A fully developed, patented expansion system enables nearly double the livable space, turning a compact travel profile into something closer to an actual home. Therefore, what arrives on the road as a manageable trailer becomes a different structure entirely once it settles: the AI-THt expands to approximately 360 square feet, supporting multi-room living within a footprint that started out far smaller.

How the AI-THt Works as a Self-Sufficient Home

An expandable home trailer is only as good as its ability to function once you're parked somewhere without hookups, and this is where AC Future built in real independence. High-capacity solar generation exceeding 2300W pairs with high-voltage battery storage of up to 90 kWh, supporting both EV DC fast charging and home AC charging. In addition, integrated water recovery technology dramatically reduces reliance on external hookups, while the system is designed to function as a mobile power and shelter solution, not just a vehicle.

Electrification adds capabilities that a traditional trailer simply can't offer. The fully electric architecture enables tow assist, auto-hitch capability, EV charging, and home backup power generation, meaning the trailer can support a household during an outage just as easily as it supports a road trip. Furthermore, smart and safety systems round out the experience: active hitch monitoring, trailer self-parking, 360-degree trailer rotation, blind-spot monitoring, and remote trailer monitoring while away, all connected through satellite internet via Starlink, so work and connectivity continue no matter how remote the location.

Why the AI-THt Signals a New Category of Living

Beyond the technology, the AI-THt represents a deliberate break from how trailers have always looked and felt. The interior uses premium, Italian-inspired materials and modern home finishes, with a refined layout engineered for daily residential use, not weekend camping, and fully furnished with residential-grade appliances and sound systems. Customizable layouts support diverse use cases, including family living, remote work, emergency response, or luxury travel, positioning the trailer less as a vacation accessory and more as a flexible housing option.

Industry recognition has followed quickly. The AI-THt earned the 2026 CES Innovation Award for Vehicle Technology, a 2025 International Design Award, a 2025 Red Dot Design Award, and a Good Design Award, all for transportation design. Starting at $148,000 with an estimated delivery in 2026, the trailer signals that AC Future is betting on a future where mobility and permanent shelter no longer need to be two separate things.
