On June 2, 2026, C SEED and Bugatti announced a
new kind of television together. It's called the C SEED BUGATTI N1. It's a
folding MicroLED television that looks like a piece of furniture when it's
turned off. C SEED is an Austrian company known for building large, high-end
folding TV screens. Bugatti is the French hypercar maker behind cars like the
Tourbillon. The N1's whole shape and style are based directly on that car.
When it's turned off, the N1 looks like a sleek
cabinet, what furniture makers call a sideboard. Press one button, and it
unfolds into a full screen in 45 seconds. The unfolding happens in several
careful steps, almost like a small performance. Inside, a sliding mechanism in
the center keeps the whole movement smooth and balanced. C SEED's founder and
CEO, Alexander Swatek, said the goal wasn't to build a better TV, but to build
something that isn't really a TV at all anymore, the same way he says a Bugatti
isn't really "just a car."
The N1 uses MicroLED screen technology, which
is known for producing very bright, sharp images. Inside that technology is
something called MiP, short for Matrix-in-Package, a way of building the screen
that improves contrast, keeps blacks looking truly black, and produces less
heat while using less power. The screen also supports HDR10+, a format that
improves color and brightness detail in video. To stop glare from ruining the
picture, C SEED added a special coating to the screen's surface. Because a screen
this large is actually built from several separate panels, C SEED developed its
own technology, called Adaptive Gap Calibration, to automatically keep the
lines between panels as invisible as possible.
Sound comes from a system built with audio
company Wisdom Audio, using magnetic-based speaker technology designed for
clear, precise sound. The speakers aren't visible when the TV is closed. When
the screen turns on, they extend outward into position, and they retreat back
out of sight when the TV is turned off again. The screen itself can also rotate
a full 180 degrees, and an optional sliding mount lets it move to fit different
rooms and layouts.
C SEED builds the N1 in Austria and offers it
in two screen sizes: 110 inches and 137 inches. Some finish options use the
very same materials and colors found inside the Bugatti Tourbillon itself,
alongside a specific silver finish and other custom color choices. Carbon fiber
parts are built into the frame, keeping it lighter while adding to its refined,
luxury character. Wiebke Ståhl, Managing Director at Bugatti International,
said the partnership was built around Bugatti's own guiding idea of "Art,
Forme, Technique," and was meant to bring that same philosophy into a
luxury living space rather than just onto the road.
