Saudi Arabia has rolled out a new co-creation platform under its e‑Participation initiative, inviting citizens, startups, and experts to propose ideas, collaborate on public-sector challenges, and engage directly with budgeting processes.

This digital portal advances Vision 2030 by fostering citizen participation, amplifying transparency, and crowdsourcing innovative solutions.

What’s New

  • Open innovation gateway: Users can submit proposals on public issues—education, health, transport—and receive real-time feedback from government teams.
  • Collaborative ideation: Experts and citizens team up virtually via discussion tools, refining ideas through iteration and community voting.
  • Participatory budgeting: The portal lets users prioritize projects, view estimated costs, and track implementation, bringing clarity and shared responsibility to public finance.

Why It Matters

This platform enhances citizen engagement platform reach by enabling two-way dialogue with government and fostering shared accountability. It increases transparency, democratizes decision-making, and crowdsources innovation in line with Vision 2030’s goals for participatory governance.

Moreover, it supports agile policy making and encourages startup contributions to civic challenges—making public service more responsive to real needs.
