Samsung Micro RGB TV: The Screen That Thinks in Color

Every display technology before it made a compromise between size, color accuracy, and brightness. The Samsung 130-inch Micro RGB TV makes none of them, and it is the first of its kind in the world.

The Problem with Every Screen Before This One

Display technology has always involved a trade-off. OLED produces perfect blacks and rich color, but struggles with brightness and burn-in at large sizes. Traditional LED delivers brightness but lacks the color precision and contrast that make an image feel real. The industry has been navigating between these two limitations for years, pushing both forward without ever fully resolving the gap between them. Samsung's Micro RGB TV does not navigate between them. It replaces the underlying architecture entirely.

What Micro RGB Actually Means

The Samsung 130-inch Micro RGB TV is the world's first display of its kind and its largest Micro RGB screen to date. The technology uses individual red, green, and blue micro LEDs working together to produce color at the pixel level rather than relying on filters or backlighting to approximate it. The result is a color that is generated directly from the light source itself, with none of the signal loss or approximation that conventional display methods introduce. Micro RGB Precision Color 100 delivers 100 percent of the BT.2020 wide color gamut, the broadest standard for color reproduction in professional and consumer displays, certified by the Verbond der Electrotechnics for precise Micro RGB color reproduction. Every hue on screen appears true to life because it originates from a source engineered specifically to produce it.

AI That Works Inside the Image

The display is powered by the Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, which works continuously behind the image rather than in front of it. Micro RGB Color Booster Pro enhances dull tones in real time. Micro RGB HDR Pro refines contrast across both bright and dark scenes simultaneously, recovering detail that conventional HDR processing typically sacrifices in one direction to serve the other. Samsung's proprietary Glare Free technology minimizes reflections across different lighting conditions, preserving color and contrast regardless of where the screen is placed or how a room is lit. The first Samsung TV to implement HDR10+ ADVANCED, the next generation of HDR10+ technology, the 130-inch model sets a new benchmark for picture performance at scale.

A Screen Designed to Change the Room

The design philosophy behind the 130-inch model is as deliberate as the technology inside it. The Timeless Frame, a modern evolution of Samsung's gallery-inspired design language, positions the screen to appear less like a television and more like an architectural window that visually expands the space around it. Sound integrated into the frame is calibrated to the scale of the screen, creating a natural connection between picture and audio that large displays have historically struggled to achieve.
