Tilt Beauty focuses on a part of the beauty experience that often goes unnoticed how products are held, opened, and applied.

Launched
in 2025, Tilt Beauty was founded by Aerin
Glazer, who lives with psoriatic arthritis. Her goal was to address a problem
many brands overlook: traditional beauty packaging isn’t designed for people
with limited dexterity, chronic pain, or visual impairments.
Rather
than starting with shades or trends, Tilt starts with function. Each product is
designed to be easier to hold, open, and apply. That includes larger grips,
magnetic closures, clearer fonts, and in some cases, tactile or Braille
elements.
Tilt
also considers what’s inside the packaging. Its formulas avoid common irritants
and are tested for sensitive skin.
Tilt’s
approach centers around usability. For people with arthritis, tremors, or
muscle weakness, standard tubes and compacts can be difficult to manage. Tilt
responds to this with ergonomic shapes, magnetic click closures, and components
that require less force to open.
The
brand also considers visual accessibility. Labels feature high-contrast text
and clean typography. Select products include raised markings to aid with
alignment and orientation.
Alongside
accessible packaging, Tilt Beauty prioritizes skin health. The ingredients are
selected with sensitive and condition-prone skin in mind. The line is free from
common irritants and is designed to be safe for daily use across a range of
skin types.
The
brand also introduces refillable components, making packaging more sustainable
and potentially more cost-effective over time.

Beauty may be helpful for:
Tilt
Beauty is one of the few cosmetic brands designed specifically with
accessibility as its starting point. Its packaging has been recognized with the
Ease-of-Use certification from the Arthritis Foundation.
Its
design choices come directly from lived experience. Glazer’s own challenges
with standard beauty products shaped the way Tilt’s packaging and formulas were
developed.
Instead
of adapting existing designs, the brand rethinks how cosmetics can work for
people with different needs while maintaining a clean, modern look.
Tilt’s
focus on function may result in a more limited product selection compared to
larger brands. The shade range and format variety are still expanding.
Because
of the materials used and refillable formats, some products may have a higher
upfront cost. These decisions are tied to accessibility and sustainability, but
may not match every user’s preference or budget.
As
with any beauty product, experiences will vary depending on individual needs
and expectations.
