from OKA TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD., is a screen-free home robot, nature companion
and ambient lamp. The company says it uses light, sound and gentle movement to
bring nature indoors, and describes it as "a gentle presence that coexists
with you." Mori does not speak words. It communicates through sounds,
movements, light and expressions, and people can interact with it through touch
and voice. OKA designs it for personal indoor use and says it suits homes with
children or pets.
How the Screen-Free Home Robot Works
A simple
touch starts a nature experience: "Mori finds a quiet corner of nature and
brings it home." Its responses change with mood, and the site gives three
examples: still waking up, trying to focus and after a busy day. The company
says Mori learns, adapts and remembers, so each unit becomes "uniquely
yours" over time, and that it recognizes different people and responds
differently to familiar faces and strangers. OKA states that everything Mori
senses is processed on-device and no data is sent to the cloud.
Nature Time and Everyday Modes
Nature
Time creates a continuous natural soundscape with soft light that shifts with
the time of day, from morning and afternoon to dusk and late night. Mori can
notice a person's state and invite them into Nature Time at a suitable moment,
and a theme library is continuously updated. Patting its head makes Mori
retract its cap and turn into a lamp with a soft glow. Placing both hands on
its base starts a guided breathing session that can continue as long as needed.
Design and Specifications
The model
is ARTIFACT-01, with a textile shell. It has a maximum diameter of 20.91 cm, a
height of 26.4 to 29.8 cm and a weight of 2.5 kg. The battery is 36 Wh and
takes up to 2.5 hours to reach 80% charge, with connectivity over Wi-Fi on 2.4
GHz and 5 GHz and Bluetooth. Operating temperature runs from 0 °C to 35 °C, and
OKA suggests a dry, flat, stable spot away from water and heat sources, such as
a living room, bedroom or office.
