Every seed that goes undetected in a planter row is a gap in the harvest. MiraSense is the LED seed sensor that counts every single one, regardless of size, speed, or dust.

Planting season moves fast. A farmer running a
multi-row planter across hundreds of acres cannot afford to stop and check
whether every seed is landing where it should. That job belongs to the seed sensor,
a small device mounted on the seed tube that detects each seed as it passes and
sends a count back to the display in the cab. When it works accurately, the
farmer knows exactly what is happening across every row in real time. When it
does not, seeds get missed, skips go undetected, and the problem only becomes
visible months later at harvest when the yield map tells a story nobody wanted
to read.
Two variables have consistently undermined seed
sensor accuracy for years. The first is dust. Planting is one of the dustiest
operations on a farm. Soil particles, seed treatment residue, and fine debris
circulate constantly through the seed tube environment. Many sensors cannot
reliably distinguish between a seed passing through and a cloud of dust doing
the same thing. The result is phantom counts, missed detections, and data that
looks plausible but is not. The second variable is seed size. A farmer switching
from corn to soybeans to sugarbeets to sunflowers is working across a
significant range of seed diameters. A sensor calibrated for one performs
differently on another, requiring adjustment, recalibration, and time that
planting season does not offer.
The MiraSense seed tube sensor uses a powerful
LED light source combined with an advanced dust rejection algorithm that
actively distinguishes between seed and dust in real time. When a seed passes
through the sensor, the LED reads its signature differently from particulate
matter, and the algorithm filters the noise before it ever reaches the count.
The result is accurate seed detection from seeds as small as 3.5mm all the way
through large varieties, at rates of up to 70 seeds per second, without any calibration
required. Switch crops, and the sensor keeps working. No adjustments. No
downtime. No recalibration ritual between fields.
Designed to Fit What Is Already There
MiraSense installs as a direct drop-in
replacement for existing seed sensors, mounting via cable ties to virtually any
standard seed tube in use today. It connects through standard 3-pin Super seal
or Weather Pack connectors, linking directly to the existing display in the cab
without additional hardware. A farmer does not need to rebuild a planting setup
around it. It fits into the one already running. That simplicity matters at the
scale of a commercial farming operation where every hour of the planting window
counts and every unnecessary complication costs.
