Dubai’s Smart
Police Stations (SPS) are self-service kiosks that allow people to
handle police-related tasks without going to a staffed station. Residents
and visitors can report incidents, request documents, and pay
fines using a digital screen at their convenience. These kiosks
remain active at all hours, offering an alternative to in-person
visits.
The system makes it
easier for people who need police services during holidays, late
hours, or from locations far from city centers. With SPS units
placed throughout Dubai, users now have more flexible options when it
comes to handling routine police matters.
Each kiosk is
equipped with a touch interface where users select their preferred
language, choose a service, and follow simple prompts. After
submitting the required information or documents, a confirmation
receipt is issued. For added support, some kiosks include real-time
video communication with police personnel.
All services—from incident
reporting to permit applications—are processed digitally.
This removes the need for paper forms or scheduled appointments.
Common services include vehicle-related certificates, lost item
reports, and clearance letters. Everything is completed on-site,
with no back-and-forth paperwork or waiting rooms involved.
Smart Police Stations (SPS) are built to fit into the daily routines of Dubai residents and visitors, with kiosks installed in high-traffic areas like malls, neighborhoods, and business districts. Spread across 22 locations—including City Walk, La Mer, and Dubai Silicon Oasis—these stations allow users to access police services while commuting or running errands. Some offer drive-thru formats, giving even more flexibility to people on the move. By enabling users to manage sensitive reports or requests privately, SPS kiosks promote discreet service access.
The
system supports multiple languages and provides clear, on-screen guidance,
making it easy for both residents and tourists to navigate. With over 2 million
users served, Smart Police Stations have become a core part of the city’s public
service infrastructure, reducing pressure on traditional police offices and
allowing fast, remote support when needed.
