Raising animals for
food takes up a lot of land, water, and feed. Lab-grown meat, on the other
hand, is made by taking a small sample of animal cells and growing them in a
controlled setting. This process allows meat to be produced without large-scale
farming, while still being the same in taste and texture as the meat people are
used to.
The process starts
with collecting animal cells, which are placed in a nutrient-rich environment
where they multiply and develop into muscle tissue. The result is real meat,
just grown differently. Unlike plant-based alternatives, lab-grown meat isn’t a
replacement; it is the same thing made in a new way.
Traditional livestock farming is a major cause of deforestation and water overuse, and it produces a large amount of greenhouse gases.
