Launched in 2019 under Abu Dhabi’s Ghadan 21 economic accelerator program, Hub71 was designed to be more than a co-working space—it’s a strategic platform for building a resilient, globally integrated tech ecosystem. Situated in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and backed by Mubadala Investment Company, the initiative aligns with the emirate’s broader goals of economic diversification, digital transformation, and global competitiveness.
At its core, Hub71 is structured to support startups at various growth stages by eliminating traditional barriers such as cost, access to funding, and limited corporate exposure. Through equity-free financial support, subsidized housing and office space, visa facilitation, and curated mentorship, Hub71 enables startups to scale quickly in a supportive, innovation-centric environment.
Founder-Centric Support: Hub71’s offering includes up to AED 750,000 in equity-free incentives for growth-stage startups. Early-stage ventures benefit from seed grants, mentorship, and structured programs like the Company Building Program, which helps refine business models and investor strategies.
Sector-Specific Innovation Tracks: The hub isn’t just broad—it’s specialized. Programs like Hub71+ Digital Assets for Web3 startups and Hub71+ Climate Tech, launched during COP28, are designed to foster targeted innovation in high-growth industries. These tracks offer sector-specific expertise, tailored partnerships, and investor linkages.
Global Reach: Hub71’s startup cohorts are highly international. Recent cohorts include startups from the US, UK, India, and Europe, spanning verticals such as FinTech, HealthTech, Climate Tech, and AI. Its selection process is competitive, with thousands of applications per cycle and acceptance rates under 2%.
Strategic Ecosystem Partnerships: Collaboration is a key value. Hub71 links startups with a wide network of corporate partners, VCs, and accelerators. Names like Microsoft, Binance Labs, AWS, and Mastercard are part of this growing web, providing startups with access to global markets and operational expertise.
Since its inception, Hub71 has grown into one of the MENA region’s most dynamic startup ecosystems. It currently supports more than 260 startups from over 60 countries. Collectively, these startups have raised AED 7.2 billion and generated over AED 4.3 billion in revenue.
Beyond funding, the hub has cultivated a multicultural, collaborative innovation community—anchored in Abu Dhabi but globally connected. Its startups benefit not only from capital and space, but also from a policy and regulatory environment designed for innovation and long-term growth.
