This hubless electric motorcycle delivers 1,000 Nm of instant torque, charges to 80% in under 10 minutes, and carries no chain — because it never needed one.

A rider pulls out of a junction. No sound. No gear shift. No chain
pulling torque through a sprocket. Just 1,000 Nm of force delivered directly to
the road through a rear wheel with nothing at its center. That is not a
concept. That is the Verge TS Pro — a hubless electric motorcycle that
did not improve on what came before it. It removed the parts that were never
supposed to be there in the first place.
Verge Motorcycles OÜ is a Finnish company that looked at the electric
motorcycle market and made a deliberate decision: do not take a petrol
blueprint and swap in a battery. Start again.
The conventional chain-drive system found in almost every motorcycle
today introduces friction, demands regular maintenance, and places mechanical
limits on how power reaches the rear wheel. Verge eliminated it entirely with a
single design decision — the Donut Motor. The motor lives inside the rear wheel
rim itself. There is no hub. There is no chain. Torque delivery is direct,
immediate, and unfiltered from the first millimeter of throttle to the last.
The result is a motorcycle that Wired described as looking like it was
ridden straight out of Tron. Forbes noted it moved through 60 mph in a literal
blink. Top Gear called it unlike anything else on the road — because it is.
The engineering behind the TS Pro is built around five decisions that
separate it from every other electric motorcycle currently available:
More than 2,000 test rides have been completed across 11 countries. Real
riders on real roads — not staged demonstrations or closed circuits. The
feedback is consistent: the combination of instant torque, near silence, and a
riding position that feels nothing like a conventional electric motorcycle
creates something genuinely new.
The hubless electric motorcycle category does not yet have a
crowded field. No other production motorcycle combines a hubless drivetrain,
solid-state battery, and sub-10-minute fast charging in a single vehicle. Verge
is not competing at the margins of an existing market. It is building one.
