Galaxy Z Fold7
The Galaxy Z Fold7 continues Samsung’s approach to foldables by focusing
on durability and usability. At 215 grams and just 8.9 mm thick
when folded, it is lighter and easier to carry than its predecessors. The frame
uses Armor Aluminum, and the new Armor FlexHinge reduces bulk
while keeping the device sturdy. The cover display is protected by Corning®
Gorilla® Glass Ceramic 2, while the back uses Victus® 2, materials
chosen for resilience in daily use. Its IP48 rating adds protection
against dust and water.
When unfolded, the device reveals an 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display,
designed for multitasking and media. On the outside, a 6.5-inch cover screen
with a 21:9 ratio provides easier one-handed operation. Both screens
reach up to 2600 nits brightness and support adaptive refresh rates
between 1 and 120 Hz, adapting to different types of use, from reading to video
playback.
The Fold7’s camera system introduces a 200 MP wide-angle lens,
paired with Samsung’s ProVisual Engine to improve detail and color in
different lighting conditions. Additional lenses include a 12 MP ultra-wide,
a 10 MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 10 MP cover camera.
This setup is designed to cover both everyday photography and more demanding
scenarios like zoom or landscape shots.
The internal hardware relies on the Snapdragon® 8 Elite for Galaxy
processor. According to Samsung’s comparisons, this chip delivers 38% faster
processing, 26% better graphics, and 41% stronger AI performance
compared to the previous generation. Power comes from a 4400 mAh battery,
which combines with adaptive energy management to support long sessions of
video, apps, or gaming without frequent charging.
The Fold7 provides 12 GB RAM and storage options up to 1 TB,
giving flexibility for users with high storage needs. It is offered in finishes
such as Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow, and Jetblack, with a Mint
version available exclusively online.
Beyond specifications, the Fold7 is intended to support productivity. The
wide screen can show multiple apps at once, making document editing, video
calls, or browsing possible without switching constantly between windows. Samsung
DeX extends this further by allowing the device to act as a workstation
when connected to larger screens. With its balance of portability and expanded
functionality, it is designed to serve as both a daily phone and a compact work
device.
These tools are built into the device’s functions, aiming to reduce time
spent on routine edits, communication, or organization.
