Nitro drinks usually begin with a pressurized
cylinder or a disposable cartridge. EverNitro takes a different route by
drawing nitrogen from the surrounding air. XBREW designed the countertop
appliance for homes, cafés, and other beverage settings. The desktop nitrogen
generator combines drink infusion, cream whipping, and ingredient preservation
within one system. Consequently, users can apply the produced gas without
storing a separate nitrogen supply.
XBREW identifies its founder publicly as Terry
and locates its operations in Shenzhen, China. The company says its physicists
and engineers previously worked at DJI and Breville. EverNitro made its public
debut at a technology exhibition in Macau. Later, its crowdfunding campaign
attracted 1,760 backers. XBREW also reports that the appliance received a
Taiwan Golden Pin Design Award.
EverNitro uses pressure swing adsorption,
commonly shortened to PSA. This process passes compressed air through a
molecular sieve. The sieve preferentially captures certain gases, leaving a
nitrogen-rich stream for the appliance. Therefore, the machine does not depend
on replaceable cartridges or external cylinders. XBREW states that its
high-concentration mode produces nitrogen with purity reaching 95 percent.
After generating the gas, the system infuses it
into a connected canister. A quick mode completes the process in approximately
25 seconds. Meanwhile, the high-concentration cycle takes about one minute.
Digital controls adjust pressure between zero and eight bar in increments of
0.1 bar. Those settings alter bubble formation and foam density. The desktop
nitrogen generator therefore gives users repeatable control over a drink's
cascading texture.
The primary function is to create nitrogen-infused
coffee, tea, juice, cocktails, and other mixed drinks. Tiny nitrogen bubbles
create the foam and visual cascade associated with nitro beverages. According
to XBREW, this treatment can soften perceived acidity and emphasize existing
sweetness. These sensory effects can vary with the recipe, ingredients,
temperature, and pressure. Therefore, they should not be treated as universal
nutritional benefits.
The appliance measures 417 by 281 by 169
millimetres and weighs six kilograms. Its footprint is intended for a kitchen
or commercial counter rather than portable outdoor use. Furthermore, a
companion application lets users monitor settings, explore recipes, and install
feature updates. The physical pressure controls still provide direct
adjustment. This combination supports experimentation without making a phone
essential for every preparation.
Food-contact cleaning centers on the removable
canister and related components. XBREW states that these parts are
dishwasher-safe and can also be rinsed quickly. Consequently, liquids do not
need to pass through disposable serving cartridges. The reusable design may
reduce packaging waste compared with single-use gas capsules. However, the
machine still requires electricity, cleaning, and eventual filter or component
servicing. XBREW does not publish detailed energy-use or maintenance-cycle
figures.
Commercial nitrogen generators already use PSA
technology in food, beverage, and industrial settings. Likewise, countertop
nitro systems can use cylinders, refillable tanks, or small cartridges.
EverNitro's distinction is not the invention of nitrogen separation. Instead,
it combines compact PSA generation with infusion, whipping, preservation,
adjustable pressure, and connected controls. Its integrated format may suit
users who frequently make several kinds of nitrogen-treated products.
The crowdfunding response provides evidence of
consumer interest, but it does not establish long-term reliability. Similarly,
an exhibition debut and a reported design award support visibility rather than
performance validation. Independent testing could clarify nitrogen purity
across operating conditions, energy consumption, noise, durability, and
preservation results. Until then, technical and sensory performance claims
should remain attributed to XBREW.
