Citroën ELO: The Car That Adapts to Your Life

Every car ever built asked you to adapt to it. The Citroën ELO concept is built around the opposite idea. One vehicle that transforms around rest, work, play, and everything in between.

A Car Designed Around Time

The Citroën ELO concept car starts from a single idea that most vehicle design has never taken seriously. The most valuable thing a car can give its occupants is not speed, power, or prestige. It is time. Meaningful time. Time to rest during a long journey. Time to work productively between meetings. Time to enjoy the outdoors without leaving the vehicle behind. The ELO was built around one purpose. Giving people back the time that travel usually takes away.

Six People, One Compact Space, No Compromise

The ELO seats six people comfortably inside a remarkably compact body. The doors open in opposing directions, wide and unobstructed, making the act of getting in feel completely different from any car before it. Sunroofs open at both ends of the cabin, flooding the interior with light and air. The view from the driver's seat stretches 180 degrees. The instrument cluster appears to float in front of the windscreen, keeping information visible without blocking what matters most. The cabin feels bigger than the car looks from the outside. That feeling is intentional.

One Car, Three Completely Different Spaces

This is where the ELO becomes genuinely interesting. The interior does not just seat people. It transforms around whatever they need the moment they need it. Tired after a long drive? Two mattresses unfold from the boot in seconds, the lighting shifts to something softer, and a projector screen appears. The car becomes a place to sleep and watch a film. Need to finish work before arriving? The front seat rotates, a table appears, and the windscreen becomes a display. The car becomes an office. Heading somewhere outdoors? The seats come out, a tent deploys from the vehicle itself, and power outlets appear for equipment. The car becomes a base camp. No tools required. No waiting. The transformation happens in the time it takes to decide what the moment needs.

Built to Leave a Light Footprint

The ELO runs entirely on electric power, quietly and without emissions. The materials used throughout the interior and exterior are eco-conscious, chosen with the same care as the features they surround. The tires are developed specifically for the ELO platform. The design thinking that shapes how people use the car was developed in collaboration with outdoor specialists who understand how people actually live when they leave the office behind.
