Samsung’s new Premiere 5 projector offers an innovative way to interact with your environment, turning walls, tables, and even floors into touch-enabled surfaces. Unveiled at CES 2025 and now available in Korea, the Premiere 5 is a compact ultra-short-throw projector that delivers 4K resolution on surfaces up to 100 inches diagonally from just 43 cm away. It utilizes a laser projection system and supports HDR10+ and HLG.

Running on Tizen OS 9.0 with One UI, the device provides access to major streaming apps, Samsung Gaming Hub, and SmartThings integration. Its vision technology adjusts brightness, contrast, and color based on room lighting, while features like auto-focus and auto-keystone ensure optimal image quality. A solar-powered remote adds convenience for users.

Key Interactive Features:

  • LightWARP Technology: An infrared camera and laser module detect touch gestures on projected surfaces, allowing direct interaction without a screen.
  • Multi-Touch Recognition: Supports multiple touch points simultaneously for tapping, swiping, and zooming.
  • Surface Interaction: Control apps, media, and smart home devices directly on the surface, eliminating the need for external controllers.
  • Hands-on Navigation: Manipulate images, webpages, and interfaces using gestures like pinch-to-zoom.
