On July 23, 2025, the White House unveiled Winning
the Race: America’s AI Action Plan, a comprehensive roadmap to expand
America’s artificial intelligence capabilities. The plan outlines more than 90
actions across federal agencies, supported by three executive orders, to boost
AI innovation, upgrade national infrastructure, and cement the United States’
position as a global AI leader.
The strategy calls for removing outdated
regulations that slow down AI development, speeding up approvals for data
center construction, and ensuring that federal AI systems operate with
transparency and fairness. It also focuses on preparing the workforce for
AI-driven changes in the job market, with training programs aimed at both new
graduates and workers seeking to reskill. Alongside domestic goals, the plan
seeks to strengthen international partnerships to shape global AI rules that
align with U.S. values.
