Smartwatches have
traditionally relied on flat screens and daily charging. The Amazfit X
Curved Smartwatch takes a different approach. With a 92° curved display, a
battery that lasts up to seven days, and continuous health monitoring, it
introduces design and functional changes aimed at making wearables more
practical for daily life.
The standout feature
of the Amazfit X is its curved 2.07-inch AMOLED display. Built through a
process of heating glass above 700°C and shaping it in multiple steps, the
curve allows the watch to rest naturally on the wrist.
The display delivers
326 PPI resolution and 400 nits of brightness, making it clear even in bright
sunlight. Compared to many standard smartwatches, it offers more screen area,
reducing the need for excessive scrolling.
Battery life is often
a limiting factor in smartwatch use. The Amazfit X addresses this with a curved
lithium battery that lasts up to seven days on a single charge, depending on
usage. This design makes it possible to run continuous health tracking, notifications,
and fitness features without frequent recharging.
Health tracking is a
central focus of the device. The built-in BioTracker™ PPG sensor records heart
rate around the clock. An infrared sensor also measures blood oxygen levels,
offering insights into cardiovascular health.
The watch includes a Personal
Activity Intelligence (PAI) system, which simplifies fitness data into a
single score based on activity and heart health research. This approach helps
users understand how their daily movement impacts long-term health outcomes.
Sleep tracking is
available as well. The watch monitors different stages of sleep—including
light, deep, and REM—along with daytime naps, providing data to support
healthier rest patterns.
For outdoor and
fitness activities, the Amazfit X supports both GPS and GLONASS satellite
systems, improving location accuracy. It includes nine sport modes, ranging
from swimming to cycling. With water resistance up to 50 meters, the device is
suitable for pool and open-water use.
The titanium alloy
body keeps the watch lightweight, and the interface replaces traditional
buttons with a pressure-sensitive sensor. Users can adjust the experience with
customizable watch faces, while haptic feedback provides subtle confirmation of
interactions.
Beyond health and fitness, the watch includes everyday functions such as call and message notifications, alarms, weather forecasts, and reminders. These features are combined with a design intended to reduce distractions, including a “Do Not Disturb” setting.
The Amazfit X
illustrates how smartwatches are evolving. Its curved form reduces scrolling
and fits more naturally on the wrist. The extended battery life addresses one
of the most common frustrations with wearables. Its health features focus on
providing meaningful insights rather than overwhelming data points.
