The AI Council, led by Professor Mérouane Debbah, is tasked with providing the government with recommendations on cross-sectorial strategy and national AI policy advice.
Additionally, the strategy proposes expanding the Personal Data Protection Agency's role in overseeing data protection and enforcing AI regulations, alongside developing a legal framework to govern AI and extending current data privacy regulations to address AI-specific concerns.
