CortiSense is a
Swiss-developed sensor designed for at-home stress monitoring. It measures
cortisol levels, an important indicator of stress, using a simple saliva sample
and has results available in just 10 minutes. This patent-pending technology is
integrated with the gSense Healthcare System, allowing for regularly tracking
stress levels and supporting a more proactive approach to health management.
CortiSense features an
ergonomic design that is easy to use and comfortable. Its single-use sensors
ensure hygiene and accuracy with each test while using sustainable materials
that support environmentally friendly practices. The device is also connected
to the gSense app, allowing users to track their stress levels conveniently
over time.
CortiSense is part of Nutrix's gSense Healthcare System, a platform that connects health monitoring devices to a single cloud-based system. It works with a sensing strip, similar to a glucose meter, that processes data and can be reused. The system links CortiSense with other smart health trackers and lab tests, combining AI analysis with expert insights from medical and wellness professionals. Users can access their data through the gSense app, while healthcare providers and wellness teams can monitor information using a dedicated dashboard.
Cortisol follows a daily cycle, rising about 30 minutes after waking and gradually decreasing. Disruptions to this pattern can impact well-being. Chronic stress keeps cortisol high, leading to fatigue, cravings, sleep issues, and anxiety. Chronic fatigue causes an early spike followed by a sharp drop, resulting in midday exhaustion. In burnout, cortisol stays low all day, leaving a person drained and overwhelmed.
