A Screenless Smart Band That Works With a Smart Ring

Qalo launched the SL-1 Smart Band on September 29, 2026, a wristband for health tracking that has no screen. Qalo is known for its silicone rings and wellness devices, and the band expands its wearable platform beyond its flagship smart ring. The company calls it "our next-generation wearable," and its launch release describes a band made for high-intensity activities and rigorous movement. It gives people another way to wear the same Qalo tracking, with the ring and the band working together as one platform.

What It Tracks Around the Clock

The band records sleep, heart rate, HRV, SpO2, stress, and skin temperature around the clock. HRV is heart rate variability, the variation in time between heartbeats, and SpO2 is the level of oxygen in the blood. Sleep is broken into awake, light, deep, and REM stages, plus naps, and it feeds a sleep score. During workouts, the band tracks live heart rate, steps, distance and calories in the app, and it offers 54 activity modes, including automatic activity detection.

A Daily Score and Cycle Tracking

Qalo's proprietary Daily Q Score folds sleep, HRV, movement, and stress into a single rating from 1 to 100, which the company presents as a way to see wellness at a glance. For cycle tracking, the app offers insights for the follicular phase, ovulation, the luteal phase, and pregnancy, along with period prediction and fertility awareness. It also gives guidance around energy, training, and recovery.

No Screen, 18 Grams

The pitch is in the tagline: "No screen, no distractions." The band weighs 18 grams, measures 10.5 mm thick, and is water-resistant to 10 meters, about 30 feet. Battery life is listed at 12+ days; a full charge takes 60 to 120 minutes, and a charging dock is included. The straps can be swapped out in woven and silicone styles and in multiple colors.

One App for the Ring and the Band

The SL-1 pairs with the Qalo app, and Qalo says no subscription is required. The band is designed to work with the Qalo Smart Ring (SR-2) as one connected platform, and the launch release says both devices connect to a single app, so a person's health data stays continuous whichever one they wear. Qalo lists the United States as the place where health data is stored.

For Moments When a Ring Is Not Practical

Qalo's release says the band is engineered for hardworking hands and high-intensity movement. It lets people move into CrossFit, strength training, manual labor, and other rigorous activities without interrupting their tracking or wearing a ring where that may not be practical. CEO Jake Curreri said, "QALO has always believed that the best wearable is one that fits naturally into every active lifestyle," and added that "there's no one-size-fits-all approach to wearables."
